Daniel Craig was interviewed this week by "Cowboys & Aliens" director Jon Favreau on the classic elements of Bond 23, starting as 007, and learning not to look at the internet.

On Bond 23: "[Sam Mendes] jumped feet first in to it - read every book and soaked up everything about it. I read the script the other day and I'm more excited about [Bond 23] than I was about "Casino Royale", because we've got a classic Bond movie... plus lots of other things

On starting out as 007: "I was hearing about this thing that they were going to stick me in a Harrier jump jet and fly me down the Thames, and I was like 'whatever, I'm in your hands'. Instead, they got the Royal Marines to drive me down the Thames on attack boats. They were spectacular but they wouldn't let me on without a life jacket. Immediately that was the first thing that the press hit upon - what a pansy!"
