Christie's Auction Results

6th October 2012

EON Productions and Christie's auctions presented a fantastic auction of James Bond props from the EON archive and from 007 actors' personal collections on Friday 5th October 2012, global James Bond Day. 11 lots were up for live auction whereas dozens are still available to bid online. The live auction smashed estimates and raised over £750,000 ($1.2m) for charity.

The invitation only event was attended by Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson with 007 stars Sir Roger Moore, Dame Judi Dench and Samantha Bond.

Dench introduced one of the most tabloid-friendly lots, Daniel Craig's trunks from "Casino Royale", announcing "all I'm going to tell you is they're unwashed." Celebrity Bond fan David Walliams introduced the auction of an Aston Martin DBS from "Quantum of Solace" by explaining that all proceeds would go to "the Roger Moore spray tan foundation."
