Omega Unveil New James Bond Watch
29th March 2006

Omega have unveiled a new Seamaster James Bond Limited Edition watch, featuring the classic gun barrel emblem. The new James Bond edition will be one of the first 007 watches to feature Omega's new Co-Axial Escapement.

The Co-Axial Escapement is proprietary Omega technology that drastically reduces the amount of friction in the "heart" of the automatic mechanism and provides long-term reliability and accuracy. The performance will be further improved by a free-sprung balance that allows the user to make finer adjustments to the watch. The automatic Omega caliber 2500 is housed in a 41mm stainless steel case, and includes a 48-hour power reserve.

A screw-down back seals the mechanism in to the case and will feature the number of the limited edition run. The face of the watch features a stylised raised version of the classic gun barrel emblem, and each watch will also be engraved and embossed with the 007 logo. The second hand on the watch face ends with the 007 logo (see picture above), and the watch is completed by a brushed and polished stainless steel bracelet and safety clasp, engraved with the 007 logo.

The limited edition series will run for 10,007 pieces.
