Bond girl Diana Rigg cast in 'Game of Thrones'

13-Jul-2012 • Actor News

As well as appearing in BBC cult classic Dr. Who later this year, the ex-"Avenger" and Mrs. Bond has been cast in the hit HBO fantasy-drama "Game of Thrones". Whilst they were at Comic Con producers of the series also announced that Paul Kaye (Dennis Pennis) and Mackenzie Crook (The Office) were confirmed as having roles in the series.

Rigg will be Lady Olenna Tyrell, perhaps better known by her nickname, “The Queen of Thorns.” She’s Margaery and Loras Tyrell's grandmother and a strong matriarch for the House of Flowers.

Empire reports that Mackenzie Crook will play Orell, a skin-changer.
