The world premiere of the fourteenth James Bond film 'A View To A Kill' had already taken place in San Francisco three weeks earlier when it was finally time for fans in the UK to see the new adventure debut on the silver screen.

For Roger Moore's final outing as 007, the Royal premiere was attended by Prince Charles and Princess Diana on Wednesday 12th June 1985 at the Odeon Leicester Square.

As was common at the time, LWT followed the arrivals and broadcast the introductions of the cast and crew to the Royal couple. The film would open for audiences across the UK the following day.
