2025 Literary Preview

A host of new titles will be published in 2025 expanding James Bond's literary world
By MI6 Staff
"Bond scanned the report with the detached amusement of a man reading his own obituary. Pages of titles, summaries, breathless predictions of yet more books chronicling his so-called adventures. The literary vultures were circling again, eager to pick at the bones of his past, to reinvent him in their own image—some polished, some grotesque, all missing the simple truth. He took a sip of his coffee, black as a widow’s veil, and let the news settle. More myths, more legends, more ink spilled in his name. He wondered if any of them would get the details right—the smell of cordite after a kill, the weight of exhaustion after a mission, the particular burn of betrayal. Probably not. But then, reality had never sold as well as fiction."
As we get acquainted with 2025, a host of new releases from Ian Fleming Publications will expand the literary world of James Bond this year.
New Audiobooks Arrive In The UK
Following last year’s collaboration with HarperCollins US, the complete set of Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels has been newly recorded as audiobooks, featuring an exceptional lineup of narrators including Richard Armitage (Casino Royale), Adjoa Andoh (Live and Let Die), and Mark Gatiss (From Russia With Love). These editions, which were gradually released in the U.S. throughout 2024, will now be available in the UK starting January 29, 2025. The collection also includes Fleming’s non-fiction works, Thrilling Cities and The Diamond Smugglers.
Expanded Digital Offerings
For readers who prefer eBooks, Ian Fleming Publications has expanded its web shop to offer eBook editions of in-house published titles, now available for UK customers via the Bookfunnel platform. Fleming’s backlist can be explored and purchased directly through the IFP website.
Exclusive Limited-Edition Notebooks
In a special collaboration with the Stamford Notebook Company, a series of bespoke, gold-embossed notebooks featuring the Ian Fleming Publications hummingbird logo will be available from February. These high-quality notebooks, available in four distinct cover finishes, will be sold exclusively through the online store in limited quantities—an elegant addition to any Bond aficionado’s collection.
A Spy Like Me Hits The U.S.
Kim Sherwood’s continuation of the 00-section, 'A Spy Like Me', will be released in paperback in the United States on April 8, 2025. This gives American readers the perfect opportunity to catch up on 'Double or Nothing' before diving into the next high-stakes mission.
Ian Fleming’s Collected Writings: Talk of the Devil
Marking Ian Fleming’s birthday, May 22nd, 2025, sees the release of 'Talk of the Devil: The Collected Writings of Ian Fleming.' This first-ever trade edition of Fleming’s non-fiction writings offers a fascinating insight into his work beyond Bond, featuring a range of rarely-seen journalism, wartime documents, travel writing, and correspondence with Raymond Chandler. The book includes newly discovered articles unavailable for over half a century. The UK edition is now available for pre-order, and a U.S. edition will be published by HarperCollins.
The Q Mysteries
In October, Ian Fleming Publications launches a brand-new crime series centered on Major Boothroyd, better known to Bond fans as Q. The first book in The Q Mysteries, Quantum of Menace, will be released on October 23, 2025 through Zaffre (part of Bonnier Books UK). Early impressions suggest a thrilling new addition to the Bond literary universe
