Actor Dominic Cooper talks about taking on the role of James Bond creator Ian Fleming for Sky Atlantic's upcoming mini-series

Sky have started to promote their new mini-series 'Fleming', based loosely on the life of James Bond creator Ian Fleming. Actor Dominic Cooper, who takes the title role, explains what viewers should expect to see in January when it airs on Sky Atlantic in the UK and BBC America in the USA.
The majority of the series is based on reality, whether Fleming's own retelling, his wife's diaries or John Pearson's biography The Life Of Ian Fleming. "We haven't invented anything from scratch - everything's based on something real, but we have sexed it up at times," said director Mat Whitecross. "He didn't actually have fisticuffs with Nazis… but we felt like it would be cool if he did."
