Dame Judi Dench played M, the head of MI6, in seven consecutive James Bond films. Make that eight if you count her character's posthumous appearance in 'SPECTRE'. Often dubbed a 'national treasure,' the BBC broadcast a one-hour special over the Christmas holiday dedicated one of the most outstanding and best-loved British actors of all time.
Both her James Bond's - Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig - were interviewed for the special along with 'Skyfall' director Sam Mendes. The video below contains the 007 related material from the special.

Daniel Craig claims responsibility for the 'Skyfall' plot to kill her character off, but that idea had already been explored in an early draft of 'Quantum of Solace'.
