As a new film adaptation of 'Casino Royale' was about to open in cinemas around the world in 2006 with Daniel Craig debuting as James bond, Andrew Graham Dixon explored the crucial moments in Ian Fleming's life which inspired him to create 007.


'The Real Casino Royale' - BBC (2006)

The BBC documentary (rarely seen outside the UK) combines previously unseen archive of Fleming with dramatised readings from the novel and followed Graham Dixon on a mission to uncover the real stories behind Casino Royale. He interviewed friends and family of the author and those involved in the film, including Daniel Craig.
