News on first UK regional premier

03-Oct-2002 • Die Another Day

The Evening Star have released details of a regional premier being held in the UK.

Ipswich has been chosen to host a regional premiere of the new Bond blockbuster Die Another Day, which stars Pierce Brosnan as Britain’s top secret agent and Halle Berry as the curiously-named agent Jinx.

The premiere is being staged at the UGC cinema on Ipswich’s Cardinal Park on Tuesday, November 19 where a galaxy of events are being staged to set the scene for this historic 40th anniversary Bond film.

The gala screening is being organised to raise funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

The screening is being attended by the Bickers Action stunt team from Somersham in Suffolk which has provided stunts for the Bond films for the last 20 years.

Clive Thomas, from organisers Anglia IT Recruitment, said: "We are pulling out all the stops to make this a night that no-one will forget. We have invited a host of celebrities it will be a real glitz and glamour occasion.

"We have managed to acquire a number of cars from previous Bond movies and these will be parked in front of the cinema to welcome guests to the premiere."

Mr Thomas said: "Events are being added all the time. We have just organised a Bond-themed laser show for the outside of the cinema and we are looking to add some further celebrity names to the guest list."

The premiere will be by invitation only.
