First official publicity stills from Casino Royale appear in British newspaper

09-Mar-2006 • Casino Royale

British tabloid newspaper The Sun has published the first official publicity stills from the forthcoming James Bond film "Casino Royale".

The photos show Daniel Craig as 007 along with Judi Dench as M, Eva Green as Vesper Lynd, Sebastien Foucan as a terrorist, and Caterina Murino as Solonge.

The Sun journalist enjoyed a visit to the set in the Bahamas and filed a brief report alongside the new pictures:

"Boom! An explosion erupts from the side of a swimming pool. Crash! A second blast and a muscled and scarred Brit leaps into action.

He throws himself from a disused building into a pool where minutes earlier locals had been betting on a fight between a snake and a ferret.

He chases across the yard in pursuit of a roof-jumping villain. "Cut!". The actor is Daniel Craig and The Sun is on set in the sun-kissed Bahamas to witness his transformation into James Bond.

In the Bahamas, the action is hotting up with a terrorist played by French daredevil Sebastien Foucan, shooting a thrilling chase scene with Bond.

The film makers have built two sets next to a beach on the west side of the main island. One is a shanty town where Bond is searching for his terrorist enemies."
