Daniel Craig rumoured to be training for skiing action in Bond 22

18-Sep-2007 • Quantum Of Solace

MEDIA RUMOUR
Daniel Craig's bid to be the perfect 007 has forced him to hit the slopes - according to The Sun.

The rugged actor has taken to the piste to learn how to ski ahead of the Casino Royale follow-up.

Alpine scenes are legendary in the history of Bond films. Who could forget Roger Moore and his Union Flag parachute after skiing off a cliff? Or Timothy Dalton careering down a mountain in a cello case?

But it’s not an easy sport to pick up and Daniel will find it tough to shine on the slopes before filming starts early next year.

A source said: “For the first time since 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service film, Bond will be largely snow-bound. Much of it will be filmed in the Swiss Alps. The film is in pre-production for a major ski sequence.”

Meanwhile, casting notices went out last week for the main Bond girl.
