Casino Royale (1967) `40th Anniversary` DVD delayed until June 2008

07-Oct-2007 • Collecting

As MI6 exclusively reported back in August, MGM Home Entertainment's plans to release a new special edition DVD of the 1967 James Bond spoof "Casino Royale" to celebrate its 40th anniversary has fallen foul of a delay.

Originally planned for release on November 6th 2007, Amazon.com have now confirmed the date as June 3rd 2008.

The film was originally released on 28 April 1967, so the "40th Anniversary" label will no longer be accurate.

The release will feature a 2.35 anamorphic transfer with both Dolby Digital 5.1 and original mono soundtracks, and will include the following new special extras:

"The Making Of Casino Royale" featurette
"Bond James Bond" featurette
"A 3 Ring Circus" featurette
"More Directors, More Stars" featurette
"The Big Climax" featurette
"It’s a Wrap!" featurette
