The DB5 first launched in September 1963. It had a potent 4.0-litre engine and a top speed exceeding 150mph. Its styling, courtesy of Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, created a sophisticated design, which when matched with its performance produced a car that people dreamed of owning. When the DB5 was chosen to appear in the third Bond movie – Goldfinger, laden with gadgets to help 007 fight his arch-enemy Auric Goldfinger, the partnership of two British icons was sealed forever.

The model is 1:8 scale, a precise replica of the original movie vehicle, including radar tracking device, retractable tyre slashers, oil slick pipe projecting from the rear lights, bullet-proof shield, twin front-mounted machine guns, extending over-rider rams, telephone, revolving number and armaments drawer. The functioning gadgets have been developed using innovative production techniques that allow the machine guns to fire and spin, and the ejector seat even fires through the opening in the roof via a switch-activated spring.

The model comprises approximately 500 parts (excluding screws), with bodywork made from zamack metal and detailed with ABS engineering plastic, Parts come pre-painted in the famous Silver Birch colourway.

Each of the 12 monthly packs that comprise the full kit is accompanied by a set of easy-to-follow photographic instructions, expertly written and tested by the in-house editorial team. Agora Models is now taking pre-orders. The first packs will start dispatching to customers September 2024.
