Herbie Kruger is the creation of James Bond continuation novelist, John Gardner. An hardboiled secret service agent with British Intelligence, Kruger was born in Germany before the beginning of the Second World War. He learned his trade as a puppet for American war intelligence. He arrived in the UK and was recruited. Kruger's large bumbling figure deceives many, but as the Cold War changes tact in the 1980s, there is still room for the war-hardened spy.

Now, Kruger's five adventures are back in print!
