Monday 25th June 2018 saw Live And Let Die’s Gloria Hendry make her London debut at the intimate Soho jazz venue, Crazy Coqs, performing her tribute to the songs of James Bond alongside the internationally recognised Doug Sides and his quartet.

Introduced by Gareth Owen, Hendy took to the stage performing a unique rendition of Goldfinger followed by an equally original take on GoldenEye. Each song was interspersed with a running commentary from Gloria taking us through the history of the James Bond movies.

The one-hour concert continued with Thunderball, Diamonds Are Forever, Live And Let Die, You Only Live Twice, Moonraker, All Time High, For Your Eyes Only and The Look of Love from Casino Royale 1967. Gloria recalled how she landing the role of Rosie Carver and shared her memories of making the movie. In the audience were fellow Bond girls Martine Beswicke (Thunderball), Caroline Munro (The Spy Who Loved Me), Carole Ashby (Octopussy, A View To A Kill) and Hendry’s fellow Live And Let Die actress, Madeline Smith.

Following the concert Hendry told MI6; "We didn’t do it in a traditional way, we did it in a jazzy format, the arrangements by my husband. I usually do this with an 18-piece orchestra and we had to break it down to a trio – a piano, base and drum - without horns and most of the Bond songs are done with a lot of brass. It was in incredible we packed the house."
