There were a lot of challenges bringing a true adaptation of Ian Fleming's first James Bond novel 'Casino Royale' to the big screen, many of which had prevented such a film for decades. But shortly after 'Die Another Day' had played the world's cinemas, barriers were being knocked down. First up, EON Productions secured the rights to the book, reuniting the story with the rest of Fleming's canon. Secondly, a brave decision was made to reboot the franchise and clear the decks.

In the following video interviews, Robert Wade (one-half of the writing duo with Neal Purvis) explains the story of how they got to take on Casino Royale, and producer Barbara Broccoli discusses the casting of Daniel Craig.
